"And cooperate in righteousness and piety, but do not cooperate in sin and aggression. And fear Allah; indeed, Allah is severe in penalty." (Quran 5:2)

Founder & Name Originator
Suggested the name 'Temitope' which was subsequently adopted by everyone present as it resonated with their reality at the time. One of the five founding members.
Founder & First Muadhin
Served as the first Muadhin (caller to prayer) of the mosque. The initial gatherings for worship were held beside his flat at Block 619, Flat 1.
Founding Member
One of the five devoted Muslims who established the mosque. After initial gatherings at Alhaji Adigun's flat, the congregation moved behind Mr. Ogunsanu's flat due to space constraints.
Located close to Sector 21 Car Park, 5th Avenue, Abesan Estate, the mosque was established in 1984. The founders originally gathered for worship beside Alhaji Fatai Adigun's flat – Block 619, Flat 1 – and thereafter moved behind Mr. Ogunsanu's flat due to space constraints. As the congregation grew, it became pertinent to establish a more spacious ground for worship eventually leading them to settle at the present mosque location.
Imam of Temitope Ratibi Mosque
Began his service as the first Deputy Imam when the mosque was established in 1984. After 37 years of dedicated service as Deputy Imam, he was appointed as the Imam in 2021 following the demise of the first Imam, Alhaji Obanisola. His leadership continues the legacy of the founding members.
Since 1984, Temitope Ratibi Mosque has been blessed with dedicated individuals who have served the community. We continue this legacy by welcoming new volunteers to join our various committees and teams.
